HALTOM -- Monterey churned out four more wins Saturday to barrel to the Haltom Bluffs Tournament championship.

The Lady Plainsmen blazed past Princeton 25-16, 25-18 in the championship match after dispatching of Seguin in the semifinals (25-18, 25-23). Earlier in the day, Monterey knocked off Hillsboro (25-19, 25-17) and Haltom (26-24, 25-15).

Taylor Salsky finished off an impressive two-day performance with 76 assists, 24 digs, 13 kills and 4 aces. Maddi Stephens led the Lady Plainsmen (14-3) with 25 kills and added 11 digs and 5 aces. Meagan Jimenez 40 digs, while Nadia Morales had 22 kills and 11 digs.

With an 11-game winning streak in tow, Monterey will host to Snyder and Odessa High starting at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Lubbock High wrapped up play at the tournament with a 1-2 day, topping Sam Houston (25-13, 25-20) after losses to Everman (25-21, 25-19) and Hillsboro (25-21, 25-13). The Lady Westerners head across town to Estacado on Tuesday along with River Road with play starting at 4 p.m.
