Trinity Christian launched the District 1-4A season in style Tuesday by romping past Midland Trinity in three sets – 25-9, 25-22, 25-17.

Defense was at the heart of the Lions’ victory with Skye Dickey (19 digs), Emma Mandry (13) and Suzanna Conner (10) leading the way.

Conner led Trinity (16-12-3, 1-0) with 13 kills and Katie Holcombe chimed in with 10. Bonnee Busby spread the ball well with 17 of the Lions’ 24 assists.

Up next for TCS is a road match at Lake Country on Friday.

Lady Eagles barrel past Idalou

Lubbock Christian staved off an Idalou rally to notch a four-set victory -- 25-17, 25-10, 20-25, 25-22.

Callie Roberts turned in a strong all-around day with 7 kills, 4 blocks and 11 digs. Abbie Crow recorded 10 digs and 8 kills, while Alyssa Marquette had 13 digs and 8 kills. Mara Dendy weighed in with a huge defensive effort featuring 30 digs.

The Lady Eagles (17-6) play host to Kingdom Prep on Saturday.

All Saints cruise past Denver City in three sets

All Saints continued to dominate on the court with a three-set romp past Denver City -- 25-19, 25-10, 25-11. Lauren Bayouth was a key with 12 kills and 11 digs. Jayden Johnson led the team with 21 assists and added 6 digs. Haley Dickerson contributed 14 14 digs and 4 kills. The Patriots (20-5-2) are back in action Friday at Plainview.

Christ the King races past Plainview Christian

Ana Redondo logged 10 kills and 13 assists and Ella Rivera was big on defense with 12 digs to lead Christ the King past Plainview Christian 25-20, 25-19, 25-13. The Lady Golden Lions (9-4) is off this weekend before embarking on District 1-2A play next Tuesday.
